My name is Ian Sherry, and I'm from Detroit, MI. I studied at U of D Jesuit High School, where I was named the top English student in my class. I followed that success, mainly in writing, to Loyola Chicago on Scholarship as an English major. It was a good experience, but ultimately, I returned home to switch my focus to my journalistic passion project, The Culture Gyre. Now, I work as a chef, attend Wayne State University, and continue to push forward with my cultural commentary website.
